Morelia, Michoacán, April 10, 2024.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM) informs that the application period for the national merit award for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) university students of the Technological subsystem is open.
This initiative is promoted by the General Directorate of Technological and Polytechnic Universities (DGUTyP) and several universities of this subsystem.
The call is open to academics, teachers and students from technological and polytechnic universities of the Technological Subsystem who carry out activities related to STEM areas or who are currently enrolled in an educational program in the areas of Sciences, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics. The Technological University of Morelia is a member of the national committee for the National Award of Merit for STEM Universities of the Technological Subsystem, which was established on March 19. This committee is divided into six national councils corresponding to six geographic regions and the UTM is located in the Central-West region.

May 20 marks the closing of the application period and on June 24 the results of the five winners will be announced and published nationwide.
All interested parties are invited to participate and register for this initiative. Likewise, it is remembered that today is World Science and Technology Day, a date to reflect on the importance of these disciplines in our development as a society.
