UTM students win 3 places at the State Robotics Meeting

Morelia, Michoacán, November 17, 2023.- By competing in the 12th State Meeting of Robotics and Technological Development Prototypes, students from the Technological University of Morelia (UTM) obtained three places in two categories.
They won first and second place in Development of Technological Prototypes, and third place in the robot competitions in the Drone category, in this competition held at the Higher Technological Institute of Uruapan.
Students from the Renewable Energy program won first place with the high-efficiency incubator supported by a solar air heater; while second place was thanks to the One-axis solar tracker project with the Internet of Things (IoT).
In robot competitions, in the Drone category, the Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics careers demonstrated their excellence by reaching third place with the Heavy 2 project.
The event, held in collaboration with the Institute of Science, Technology and Innovation (ICTI) and other educational institutions, brought together more than 800 participants from 14 municipalities in the state. The UTM delegation was made up of 48 students.
The rector of the institution, Graciela C. Andrade, stressed the importance of events of this nature for the academic and professional development of students, highlighting the institution's continued commitment to comprehensive training and the promotion of innovation.
