This year more than 800 students entered; while in previous cycles 500 to 600 students were registered

Morelia, Michoacán, September 29, 2022.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM), this year, recovered its enrollment with the admission of 818 students in seven engineering and one bachelor's degree.
 
The rector of the Technological University of Morelia (UTM) Graciela Andrade García Peláez, explained that 671 students entered this semester, of which 31 will study Biotechnology and Gastronomy Engineering at the Zinapécuaro Academic Unit, which starts classes for the first time this year.
 
He recalled that last December 2021 a call for registration was launched with which it was possible to register 120 new students in January of this year 2022.
 
In the school year that just started, the UTM has a total of 1,795 students, of which 1,178 are studying Higher Technical University (TSU) and 592 are in engineering or undergraduate and 25 new Master's students.
 
In an annual comparison of the number of students who have enrolled according to the statistics of the Department of School Services, in 2021 590 students enrolled, in 2020 581 enrolled, in 2019 there were 620, and this year 2022, 812.
 
Graciela Andrade explained that it is essential for the Government of Michoacán that the young people who graduate from the Conalep, Cecytem and Colegio de Bachilleres high schools find an attractive quality academic offer and that it is within their possibilities, for which an effort is made to maintain minimum recovery fees. This year the investment for the admission exam was 412 pesos and the registration was 1,120 pesos.
