Successfully concludes UTM career; promote academic offer

A total of 800 athletes participated in the “UTM, Your career to the future” event, which took place at the Army of the Revolution Sports Unit in Morelia.

Morelia, Michoacán, June 12, 2022.- A total of 800 athletes participated in the “UTM, Your career to the future” event, which took place at the Army of the Revolution Sports Unit in Morelia.

Graciela Andrade, rector of the Technological University of Morelia (UTM), recalled that this event was developed to promote sports and healthy coexistence, in addition to promoting the academic offer of the institution, which has seven engineering degrees and a bachelor's degree.

The winners of the race in the men's 10 kilometer category were from the UTM community and the podium was made up of the students, Ángel David Ruiz Martínez, Luis Fernando Ortíz Patricio and Diego Fernando César; while in the women's branch they were Alondra Tapia Aguilar, Anet Areli Bernal Pérez and Janeth Reyes Jaimes. 

In the 10-kilometer category, the general public for men, the winners were Diego Bautista Melchor, Iván Daniel González Arriaga and Carmen Ortiz Reyes, and in the women's category, Gabriela Flores García, Daniela Alonso Arreola and Karina Jazmín Chavaría Maldonado.

In the men's category of five kilometers, Julio Guzmán Cazarez, Alejandro Chagolla and Adolfo Ángel obtained the victory; and in women, Jessica Raquel Banda, Suri Valeria Rubio and Lorena Trejo Quirino.

Itzi Haidee Pérez Esquivel, head of Culture and Sports, thanked the participants in the organization and especially all the sponsors who made this event possible.

The rector recalled that the UTM continues with the registration process in https://ut-morelia.edu.mx and until July 11, with an admission exam that will be held online on July 30, at 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
