Morelia, Michoacán on May 16, 2022.- With an investment of 4 million 656 thousand pesos, the Technological University of Morelia (UTM) prepares the Biotechnology Laboratory and the Food Transformation Center.

Graciela C. Andrade García Peláez, rector of the Institute informed the academic community that after efforts, this economic resource was obtained to strengthen the practice of students in the Biotechnology Engineering laboratories and recalled that, in the month of March, They also reconditioned the laboratories with an investment of 15 million pesos.

These efforts, he said, are the work and management of the Government of Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla and include Mac equipment for Information Technology and, in general, computers for all careers, updated sewing machines from the Design and Industrial Fashion workshops, in addition to a sublimation machine. large format.

Industrial Maintenance shops now have an Industrial Electrical Controls Training System; Renewable Energies, a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine System and a Digital Oscilloscope; those of Biotechnology have shaking incubators and thermo-shakers; and Mechatronics labs now have 3D Printers.

During the Civic Act at the beginning of the May-August 2022 semester, the rector detailed the progress to work on an extension of the UTM in the municipality of Ario de Rosales at the request of the producers of the Region and in the Purépecha Plateau.
