This initiative highlights student dedication to the social environment

Morelia, Michoacán, December 12, 2023.- During the Seventh Edition of the Christmas Fest, students from the Technological University of Morelia (UTM) managed to collect 75 blankets, which were donated to the organization Aldeas Infantiles SOS México in Morelia.

The event, coordinated by the UTM language academy, attracted the active participation of 300 students in this initiative, which resulted in the donation of blankets to SOS Children's Villages Mexico, an organization with presence in six states of the Republic. Mexican and in 130 countries, which manages more than a thousand villages.

This NGO is dedicated to restoring the rights of boys and girls who have lost the care of their families or are at risk of losing it, allowing them to live in a family environment.

The Christmas Fest, an initiative that fuses the interpretation of Christmas carols and dances, provided students with a stage to express their creativity in a festive atmosphere, typical of the Christmas season. Over the course of the celebration, the audience was shown musical performances, dances and artistic skills.

It is worth highlighting the participation of students from all majors, such as Biotechnology, Renewable Energy, Information Technologies, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Design and Fashion, and Gastronomy.

The Technological University of Morelia expresses its sincere gratitude to the student community for their enthusiasm and active participation in this event. Beyond promoting creativity and camaraderie, the Christmas Fest promotes solidarity towards those who need it most in our community, thus reaffirming UTM's commitment to social well-being.
