In the categories of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things and Robotics and Automation Challenge

Morelia, Michoacán, November 4, 2023.- Students from the Technological University of Morelia (UTM) obtained first place in the Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things category, and third place in the Robotics and Automation Challenge, within the VEX 2023 International Robotics Championship.

The students of the Information Technology, and Industrial Maintenance and Mechatronics majors, demonstrated an outstanding level of competence in a competitive international scenario, which demonstrates the quality of the academic training provided by the UTM.

The event, organized jointly by the College of Scientific and Technological Studies of the State of Michoacán (Cecytem) and the STEM Academy, managed to bring together more than 1,600 students from Mexico, the United States, Canada, Colombia and Panama. 

It had three categories: Mobile Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things, and Robotics and Automation Challenge, within which, another team from Michoacán, as well as from Chiapas and Colombia, were the winners, which gave them your pass to the world stage. 

UTM is proud of the achievements of its students and celebrates their outstanding participation in the VEX 2023 International Robotics Championship.
