Morelia, Michoacán, August 23, 2023.- The rector of the Technological University of Morelia (UTM), Graciela C. Andrade, highlighted the importance of dual education that offers a valuable opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired in the classroom.

During the implementation of the Linkage Forums for Dual Education, Associative Entrepreneurship and Social Service, which take place at the UTM, it was highlighted that these elements not only provide a solid academic foundation, but also offer a opportunity for professional training.

Andrade pointed out that this educational modality demonstrates how financial institutions committed to the social and solidarity economy can play an active role as productive agents and engines of employment generation in society.

In a joint effort, the Government of Mexico, through the Undersecretariat of Higher Education (SES) of the Secretary of Public Education (SEP), in collaboration with the National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education (ANUIES), and the Fundación Educación Superior-Empresa (FESE), the linkage forums began, focused on the Central West region of Mexico, which includes the states of Nayarit, Colima, Jalisco, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato and Michoacán.

During its development, the role of dual education in the training of entrepreneurs and in the promotion of associative work was discussed. This approach not only prepares students for employment, but also for successful entrepreneurship in today's world of work.

The Linkage Forum 2023 is presented as a space for dialogue and reflection to promote education, entrepreneurship and collaboration in the current context. Its focus on dual education and associative entrepreneurship seeks to address the challenges and opportunities that the 21st century presents in a constantly evolving economy.
