Announces the Third Health Day where vaccines against influenza, COVID, tetanus and hepatitis B will be applied.
Morelia, Michoacán, July 10, 2023.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM) carries out its Third Health Day, aimed at students, teachers and administrative staff, which began this Monday and will end next Friday, July 14 .
The activities that are carried out are aimed at promoting health and preventing diseases, for which glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, HIV, syphilis and body mass index tests are carried out and the application of vaccines against influenza, COVID -19, tetanus and hepatitis B.
The health day is open to students of various careers, such as Gastronomy, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Industrial Design and Fashion, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Renewable Energies and administrative areas.
Through a joint effort between the UTM and the State Blood Transfusion Center, on July 11, 12 and 13, awareness sessions will be held on the "Give Life" campaign, which promotes the voluntary and altruistic donation of blood, in auditoriums A-2 and B.
Information will be provided on the importance of blood donation and its impact on the lives of patients who require it, as it is a vital tissue that can only be replaced through donation and natural generation.
