The students will release 34 iMac MI
Morelia, Michoacán, February 16, 2023.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM) strengthened workshops and laboratories for Information Technology (TICS) majors, with cutting-edge software equipment, virtual reality viewers, and other devices. In total, 1 million 578 thousand pesos were invested.
The rector of the UTM Graciela C. Andrade García Peláez, described that 34 iMac MI computers were delivered to the Engineering careers in Multiplatform Software Development and Virtual Environments and Digital Business.
Before Mariana Sosa Olmeda, director of the Institute of Higher and Higher Secondary Education (IEMSYS), Andrade García Peláez expressed that the resources for the equipment were managed through the "Expansion of Higher and Higher Secondary Education" Program, in which the UTM was the only winner in the Center-West region.
For the equipment, high voltage regulators for computers and 20 virtual reality viewers were required, which amount to more than 48 thousand 931 pesos. Mariana Sosa urged the young students to preserve and take advantage of the material so that future generations can also participate in the benefit.
The ICT laboratories, specifically multimedia, will help students learn to program and design video games, virtual environments such as museum tours or video mapping, and in general so that students develop the necessary skills for their growth.
