They will carry out five stays abroad
Morelia, Michoacán, January 11, 2024.- Bachelor's and engineering students in their eleventh semester at the Technological University of Morelia (UTM), are in the process of selecting their productive units to carry out their stays.
This initiative, indicated the rector, Graciela C. Andrade García Peláez, includes five foreign stays, four in Spain for the gastronomy degree and one in the United States for a mechatronics student.
He also reported that there are 645 productive units available for students to choose according to the career they are pursuing. He added that this number reflects the confidence of the productive sector in the work carried out by the university.
As part of the UTM academic model, which includes 70 percent practical and 30 percent theoretical, approximately 300 students will carry out their stays from January 15 to April 26, 2024, with a duration of 600 hours, equivalent to 15 weeks, in educational programs such as Gastronomy, Industrial Fashion Design, Information Technologies, Biotechnology, Industrial Maintenance, Renewable Energies and Mechatronics.
During this process, the students will have a university advisor and an external advisor, chosen by the company to guide them during their stays. It is important to highlight that companies must cover the professional profile of the program in which the student is enrolled. Upon completion, the students will present a technical report validated by both advisors.
