Cooperative Financial Advisor Career joins the academic offer

Morelia, Michoacán, September 4, 2023.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM) began the preparatory course that marks the academic start of 603 new students, in careers as Cooperative Financial Advisor, which begins its first cycle with 17 students and students.

The rector of the UTM, Graciela C. Andrade García Peláez, welcomed the students where she highlighted that the new Cooperative Financial Advisor career was designed in collaboration with the non-profit organization Sparkassenstiftung Alemana, Caja Morelia Valladolid and Caja Alianza Lagunillas , to boost the local financial sector, by providing specialized and practical training.

The Cooperative Financial Advisor career is characterized by its innovative dual education model, which combines five weeks of classroom training with 10 weeks of practice at Cajas Morelia Valladolid and ALIANZA Caja Popular Lagunillas. At the end of two years of study, students will obtain two certificates: a degree as a Higher University Technician and a Standard Certificate of Competence 1253 from the National Council for Standardization and Certification of Labor Competences (Know).

García Peláez highlighted the importance of promoting collective savings and investment in today's society, therefore, the students of the Cooperative Financial Advisor course will play a fundamental role in guiding people on how to save and invest collectively, contributing thus to the well-being of the population.

Each of the students who have joined the new Cooperative Financial Advisor career will contribute to the strengthening of the local financial sector and the economic development of the region.
