Morelia, Michoacán, June 28, 2023.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM) presents the new Cooperative Financial Advisor career, designed by the non-profit organization Sparkassenstiftung Alemana and will be applied by Caja Morelia Valladolid and UTM.

The initiative aims to boost the local financial sector in developing countries, providing students with specialized and practical training.

Currently, this degree is available in only six universities in the country, and the UTM is one of them. In association with savings banks, such as Morelia Valladolid, a dual modality is offered where 70 percent of the training is based on practice and 30 percent on theoretical aspects. An additional advantage is that the students selected to form part of the Savings Banks will receive scholarships for their training for two years.

The rector Graciela C. Andrade García, explained that the UTM is one of the educational institutions with the most accessible costs in the region, providing opportunities to those who wish to train in the cooperative financial field. This innovative career will not only generate highly trained human talent, but will also revive the cooperative spirit, fostering collaboration and sustainable development.

He added that, in Germany, more than 40 percent of the gross domestic product is generated by savings banks, which demonstrates their relevance in the financial field. With this initiative, it is intended to cultivate solid and promising talent through collaboration with Caja Morelia Valladolid.

Erika Arellano Martínez, Director of Education at Caja Morelia Valladolid, highlighted the importance of this strategic alliance and the institution's commitment to invest in society and support young graduates. The training of cooperative financial executives is essential to promote economic growth and the well-being of the community.

The Rector of the UTM invites those interested to download the registration form from the portal ut-morelia.edu.mx, with a delivery deadline of July 6. Do not miss this opportunity to train in the cooperative financial field and be part of a developing talent.
