Morelia, Michoacán, October 18, 2022.- The Technological University of Morelia was the venue for the Taekwondo University Meeting, in which young people from five universities participated to train and strengthen their combat technique and prepare for upcoming tournaments.

The rector, Graciela Andrade García Peláez, congratulated the participants for practicing a discipline that has been recognized as an Olympic sport for 22 years and that promotes personal growth and physical conditioning.

The head of the UTM presented awards to the coaches Pavel Alvarado Fuentes from the Universidad Latina de América (UNLA); Guillermo Pérez Ortiz of La Salle University; Genaro González Hernández of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM); Pavel Tamer Alvarado Ortiz, from the Universidad Vasco de Quiroga (UVAQ) and the UTM team trained by Hugo Jesús Pacheco Álvarez.

Itzi Pérez Esquivel, head of the Department of Cultural and Sports Activities of the UTM, explained that this type of meeting will be held in each of the participating universities and will help young people to build trust, strengthen ties of friendship between the universities and their athletes. and be prepared for upcoming tournaments.
