Morelia, Michoacán, September 13, 2022.- Professors and administrative staff of the Technological University of Morelia (UTM) may receive a 15 percent discount when consuming in restaurants affiliated with the National Chamber of the Restaurant Industry (CANIRAC)

The foregoing, as a result of the collaboration agreement signed by the rector of the UTM, Graciela Andrade, and the president of CANIRAC Michoacán, Fernando Figueroa Silva, which includes a 20 percent discount on registration or re-registration for the Bachelor of Gastronomy. to Chamber members.

With this agreement, the rector explained, facilities will be given to students and/or teachers as tutors or visitors for access to the facilities of restaurants affiliated with CANIRAC, upon written request to carry out academic activities, such as induction and specific visits. The specific visit will be scheduled to evaluate an academic content and the student's ability to enter the productive sector.

In addition, the CANIRAC undertook to act as a space for consultation, assistance, training and defense with the recognition of the union, supporting the students of the UTM, making space for them in gastronomic events with the aim of promoting and disseminating the preservation , research and dissemination of the gastronomic traditions of Mexico.

It was specified that the restaurateurs affiliated with CANIRAC undertook to provide the student with the means and materials they deem appropriate to carry out the project in which they are going to participate, designating the student within the productive unit a tutor with a profile and/or experience in the area, in addition to providing information and issuing necessary documentation to the UTM to release the stay or stay of the student.
