Morelia, Michoacán, August 31, 2022.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM) increased its academic offer by offering the Master's Degree in Applied Engineering in Technological Innovation starting in the semester that begins in September 2022.
Graciela Carmina Andrade García Peláez, rector of the UTM, explained that the authorization was carried out by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), through the General Directorate of Technological and Polytechnic Universities, after the requirements established in the Call were met. Extraordinary 2022 for new educational offer.
He explained that the authorization to open this educational program is historic and is the result of the work of the teaching team and the Information Technology Career Relevance Committee (TICS), under the direction of Paulina Solorzano Salgado.
He added that the classes will be held on Fridays and Saturdays and, according to the study plan, six semesters are considered, which include subjects such as: Creativity and technological innovation, Digital transformation, Strategic thinking and Cloud Computing 1, in the first quarter.
The rest of the semesters are considered to study: Lean service, Industrial 4.0, Professional ethics, Cloud Computing II, Business systems based on Internet collaboration, Internet of things, Seminars on the Development of Technological Projects I, Electronic commerce, home automation and intelligent environments, Industrial Property and Robotics.
According to the academic model of the UTM, the last quarter will be spent in a Productive Unit to develop the project that allows the Master's degree.
Finally, García Peláez established that in the other careers of the UTM they also work to offer postgraduate studies, with the Degree in Gastronomy being the one that has made the most progress in meeting the requirements requested by the SEP.
