Morelia, Michoacán, August 16, 2022.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM) opened the Industrial Maintenance Engineering in Mixed Model, for those who have the title of Higher University Technician.

The rector of the UTM, Graciela Andrade García Peláez, explained that this open system was established at the request of those who were students of the UTM and wish to continue their studies until they graduate as Engineers, but cannot attend classes from Monday to Friday, because They already have a formal employment relationship.

The continuity of his studies in Industrial Maintenance Engineering includes five semesters; that is, they would be enrolled for 1 year 8 months, receiving face-to-face classes in laboratories and workshops on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings, while during the week they will receive online classes through a digital platform.

The subjects they will study are Engineering, Physics for Engineering, Operation and Maintenance Protocols, Tribology, Work Planning and Organization, Strategic Management, Predictive Maintenance, Management of high-performance teams, Non-Destructive Testing and Business Negotiation, among others.

Those interested must go to the Department of School Services of the UTM with an original and a copy of their title of Higher University Technician (TSU) and payment receipt from the company where they work.

The rector recalled that a graduate of Industrial Maintenance Engineering can design maintenance strategies through the analysis of human, technological, economic and financial factors, for the preparation and administration of a master maintenance plan that guarantees the availability and reliability of the plant, contributing to the competitiveness of the company.

It should be noted that the UTM keeps the registration process open, it is a public university and does not request monthly payments.
