Graciela Andrade García Peláez, rector of the UTM, and Hugo Mora Alcaraz, president of the Vatel Club in Michoacán, agreed to the above and the commitment to give technical updating courses for teachers and students on a monthly basis by the members of Vatel Club México.
 
Hugo Mora Alcaraz explained that it will be in March 2023, when the Thierry Blouet Trophy will be held with the presence of Chef Gerard Dupont, president of the Academie Culinaire de France, as well as Chef Thierry Blouet, president of Vatel Club Nayarit. and president of the Chîne des Rôtisseurs.
 
He recalled that the Michoacán Culinary Trophy was held in 2018 and 2019, but was suspended due to the pandemic and this year, in October 2022, with the team of experts from the UTM Degree in Gastronomy, it will be held with greater quality, with speakers of international stature for the benefit of students with courses, workshops and presentations.
 
He added that the idea is that the winner of this contest can be trained by the Vatel Club Michoacán to participate in the Thierry Blouet and compete with the best chefs in the world, since it is a platform of international prestige that will attract attention. from all over Mexico and the world.
