Morelia, Michoacán, November 22, 2023.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM) announces Biotechnology Week, under the motto “Science that Transforms Lives”, to take place from November 28 to December 1.

In this regard, the rector of the UTM, Graciela C. Andrade García Peláez, highlighted the relevance of this event that will feature important presentations, among them, the keynote conference “Precision Molecular Markers, Applied to Diagnosis”, by Carlos Cortés. Penagos. 

In this framework, he indicated, the First Forum on “Fermentations: Alternatives and Innovation from a Biotechnological Perspective” will also be held, as well as the conference “Design of Antivirals”, given by Eréndira Solache Huacuz.

The active participation of the students, he said, will be a fundamental pillar during this week, with the presentation of posters and projects focused on their career. 

In this sense, Andrade García Peláez invited the entire community to take advantage of these activities, highlighting that all of them will be free.

“This event is presented as an excellent opportunity for young high school graduates seeking to explore the field of biotechnology,” he emphasized.

It should be noted that the call for the next four-month period, which begins on January 15, 2024, is still open.
