Morelia, Michoacán, February 14, 2023.- The Technological University of Morelia (UTM) remains committed to updating its laboratories and computer equipment. The Textile and Fashion Design Engineering career has received a first installment of 30 computer equipment, which is equivalent to an investment of 750,000 pesos, which will allow students to have quality tools for their training.

The rector of the UTM, Graciela C. Andrade, has highlighted that this achievement has been possible thanks to the effort and commitment of the university for the benefit of the students. “The right equipment with the right software creates quality education, and we are committed to providing it,” he said.

Last month, the UTM strengthened its multiplatform software development and digital business career workshops and laboratories, with the delivery of 34 iMac computers and augmented reality viewers for a total value of one million 578 thousand pesos.  

The delivery of this equipment is a great satisfaction for the UTM, since it will allow students to have training at the forefront of technology. “In reciprocity, we expect our students to be the best,” added the principal.

With this update of equipment, the UTM consolidates itself as a leader in technology, which will allow its students to have quality tools. In addition, it will continue to work on updating its laboratories and equipment in the eight careers it offers, such as Biotechnology, Renewable Energies, Virtual Environments and Digital Business, Multiplatform Software Development, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, and Industrial Design and Fashion.
