UTM students win second place in the Ras Master Games with Zumo robot

Morelia, Michoacán, October 7, 2022.- The Absolut team, made up of students from the Technological University of Morelia, (UTM) won second place in the Sumo category, in the fifth edition of the Ras Master Games, held at the Technological National of Mexico, Morelia campus.

Xiomara Vidarte Rangel, Lizbeth Rangel Murillo, Japheth Jare Ortiz Rangel, Jovany Rafael Hernández Martínez, José Luis Manríquez Vivanco, Isaac García Máximo and Jesús Hernández Guevara won from among 400 participants from 10 institutions of higher and higher education and a total of 100 robots.

According to the characteristics of the call, the students stood out for their creativity, learning and skills in developing, exhibiting their prototypes and competing in the most important event in Michoacán in terms of robotics and prototypes, according to Héctor Suárez Aparicio, President of the Academy.

The team of students was accompanied by their mechatronics teacher, Julio Hernández Ramírez.
